ECONOMIC ROUNDTABLE An honourable invitation was extended to local businesswoman Kerry Weiland, Vice President of Titan Tough Contract Welding, to attend this roundtable discussion in Calgary on January 24. “I was honoured to be invited to an event that gave a voice not only to women in business, but for small and medium sized enterprises as a whole.” she noted. After all of the women had an opportunity to offer ideas and suggestions, Minister Ambrose offered a few solutions such as the new federal government program, Canadian Innovation Commercialization Program (CICP), which aims to help Canadian businesses by testing their innovative products and services within the Government of Canada before taking them to market. As well, communicating directly with Office of Small and Medium Enterprises for procurement questions and assistance.
